Funerals & COVID-19
Updated May 19, 2020
Graumlich Funeral Home has served the Columbus Community in their time of need since 1862.
We care deeply about the health and well-being of our guests and employees.
We will continue monitoring and evaluating developments of the coronavirus (COVID-19) and adhere to the guidance provided by the CDC and Governor DeWine.
Funeral home visitors are encouraged to wear a face covering, unless specifically documented legal, life, health or safety considerations and limited documented security considerations exist.
Graumlich Funeral Home Staff will be wearing face masks for everyone's safety.
Graumlich Funeral Home believes gathering and fellowship during a time of loss is an essential component of the grieving process. The State of Ohio has exempted funerals from the public gathering ban; however All events, private and public, will have restricted attendance based on space to accommodate social distancing requirements issued by the State of Ohio. In order to protect all guests and funeral home staff, and to comply with the Responsible Restart Ohio initiative, we respectfully ask all individuals entering our facilities to wear a face covering at all times. The face covering should fully cover your nose and mouth.
Live Streaming of funeral service available to the families we serve, upon request.
Social distancing is the best way to limit the spread of the COVID-19.
If you are feeling unwell or have any symptoms of COVID-19 please refrain from going out into the public. Staying home speeds your recovery and prevents spreading illness, as well as protects those in high-risk groups. If you are experiencing a cough, fever, or shortness of breath, we encourage you to not attend funeral services.
We provide the following options for your health concerns in response to COVID 19
