Virginia "Jenny" Buccilla

Virginia Jane (Crabtree) Buccilla “Jenny” passed away March 8, 2026, at the age of 86 years old in Sarasota, Florida.

Jenny was proceeded in death by her parents Lee and Margaret Crabtree; sister Betty and brothers Bud (Nancy), Larry (Rita) and Jerry. Survived by sisters Connie (Richard), Judy (Tom) and brother Rodney.

Also survived by her children, Debra Buccilla Lockett (Scott) and sons Todd (Lisa) and Jerry (Lesley) Buccilla.

Jenny, known as Mom to many, and known as Ninny to all her grandkids and great grandkids, was a very loving and nurturing lady who opened her home to all her kids and their friends. Mom was an avid sports fan, who loved sitting in her favorite chair and watching any sporting event but especially her Ohio State Buckeyes play. Mom also loved sitting at her kitchen table and playing cards with her sisters and brothers. It was a hoot just listening to them play, actually “compete”, lol. Mom had so many memorable times throughout her life, but the most significant was spending time with her grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Ninny cherished her granddaughters, Kyla (Matt), Kassy (Alex), Jamie, Jessica (Ben), Kayla, Emily, Elle (Brad), Brianna (Justin), Helena (Trey) and her only grandson Gino (Miranda). Over the last 25 years of being in Sarasota, Mom entertained her grandchildren and great grandchildren at her Sarasota home, affectionally known as “Ninny’s” house.

The family will honor Mom/Ninny with visitation on Friday April 17, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 S. High Street, Columbus, OH 43207. A private graveside service will be held at the Obetz Cemetery, 4455 Groveport Road, Columbus, OH 43207, where she will be buried next to her beloved brother Jerry Crabtree.
