Verena Evans

Verena "Jo" Evans, age 79, of Columbus, passed away peacefully and met her Savior on January 20, 2016. Member of Walnut Heights Baptist Church. Retired from Crane Plastics and American Red Cross.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Virgil M. Evans; daughter, Sheryl Sowers; parents, Grace and Herbert Doom;

Survived by children, Mitch (Xenia) Sowers, Dan (Caprice) Sowers, and Laverne Sowers; 8 Grandchildren, Scott Sowers, Jaime Siddell, Kevin Sowers, Brittany "Tim" Sowers, Morgan McDonald, Tara Ingram, Danny Jewell, Tommy Jewell; 3 Great Grandchildren, Peyton Siddell, Lyum "Popeye" Andrietti, Peyton Sowers; Siblings, Herbert A. Doom Jr., and Virginia L. Doom Jacobs; 1 niece and 5 nephews.

Family will receive friends Sunday, January 24, 2016 from 2-5 p.m. at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 S. High St., where service will be held Monday 10 a.m., Rev. Ralph Short officiating.
