Trayven M. Thompson, age 22, of Canal Winchester, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on May 25, 2025. He was a proud graduate of Canal Winchester High School, Class of 2021, and had been working with Pepsi Cola.
From the moment he entered this world, Trayven captured hearts with his robust spirit, looking like a linebacker weighing 8 pounds and filling every inch of his hospital bassinet. He was known for his affectionate nature, often seeking hugs from friends and even strangers alike. His capacity for love and genuine friendship stood out among his peers.
Trayven had a passion for sports that started at an early age. He began playing football when he was just five years old and continued to embrace the game as a member of the Canal Winchester High Indians until graduation. His loyalty to his teams was evident in his love for Ohio State Buckeyes, the New England Patriots, and the Boston Celtics, creating many cherished memories with family while watching games together. Additionally, Trayven enjoyed engaging in friendly matches of Madden with his friends, further illustrating his love for competition and camaraderie.
He is preceded in death by his maternal great-grandmother, Jeneanne Hammond, and paternal great-grandparents, Russell and Rosemary Stiteler, and Nikki Barmen. Trayven is survived by his mother, Natasha Thompson, and father, Calvin (Jennifer Lee) Stiteler; his siblings, Tarren Stiteler, Tyson Stiteler, Eliana Grandy, Emmarie Grandy, and Gauge Huff; maternal grandparents, Sherrie Folden, Oba Folden, and Steven Thompson; paternal grandparents, Scott Stiteler and Debbie Stiteler; his paternal great-grandmother, Louise Chafin; uncles, Steven Thompson and Derek Stiteler; aunt, Josie Ford, as well as cousins, other relatives, and a multitude of friends.
Trayven will be remembered for his kindness, warmth, and the joy he brought to those around him. His spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 1, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, located at 1351 South High Street, Columbus, Ohio 43207.
