Sean Kevin "Fatboy" Blakeman, age 53, passed away peacefully at his home in Lockbourne, Ohio, on May 25, 2026. Born in Canal Winchester, Ohio, Sean was a man of immense heart, dedication, and an unshakable love for his family.
For over 20 years, Sean was a proud and talented fabricating welder at Blackburn Fabrication, where his hard work and commitment were evident to all who worked alongside him.
Outside of work, Sean lived life to the fullest and embraced the things that brought him true joy. He was an avid rider who loved hitting the open road on his Harley, and he could frequently be found enjoying the energy and community of music festivals. A passionate musician, some of his happiest moments were spent playing guitar with his best friend, Matt. He was also a fiercely loyal fan of Michigan football. Above all else, Sean treasured his family. He loved nothing more than hanging out with his loved ones, spoiling his grandbabies, and taking his son, Sean Jr., on unforgettable adventures. Known affectionately as "Fatboy," Sean will be remembered always for his kind soul, his deep dedication to his family, and a wonderful, funny, silly personality that could light up any room.
Sean is preceded in death by his mother Sharon DeWees Bailey, his father Glenn Wymer Blakeman and wife Martha Jean Blakeman, his brothers Robert Blakeman and David Blakeman and sister Bonnie Martin.
Sean is survived by his loving wife, Gail Hawk; his children, Madison Blakeman, Sean Blakeman Jr., Brittany Kinney and her spouse Justin Kinney; Lena Hawk and her spouse Todd Murchison, and Paige Kidwell and her spouse Christian Taulbee. He was the incredibly proud grandfather to his three grandbabies, Aubreigh Rose, Alayna Mae, and Maryah Jade.
Family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate Sean's life at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 South High Street, Columbus, Ohio 43207, where a viewing will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
