Rose Ritzer

d. July 26, 2017

Our beloved mother, Rose Marie Ritzer passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2017 with her daughters at her side holding her hands. Rose was born in 1933 and raised in Archbald, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Joseph and Frances Krajewski. She married James F. Ritzer and moved to Columbus, Ohio in 1954. James predeceased her in 2003. Surviving are their children Cindy (Dale) Brown, Kim (Edward) Burkey, Rick (Michele) Ritzer and granddaughter Tabatha Ritzer. In her later years, Rose lived with and was lovingly cared for by her daughter Kim and son-in-law Eddie. Her sister, Frances Cosgrove and many nieces, nephews and cousins in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, also survive her. Also survived by her sister-in law Charlene (Richard) Colvin and family, cousins-in-law Beverly Radcliff, Carol (Ray) Ball, and Connie Dawley and their families. Rose was a parishioner of St Leo, St Mary's German Village and Christ the King churches and had many friends at each. She enjoyed making the baptismal bibs for St Mary's baptisms. A gentle and generous woman she enjoyed cooking and sewing for her family and friends. Her specialties were kruschikis and cabbage rolls and beautiful Christmas tree skirts. Although at times she worked outside the home, taking care of her family, making crafts and participating in her church gave her the greatest joy.

Family will receive friends Sunday, July 30, 2017 from 1-4 p.m. at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 S. High Street. Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, July 31, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Christ the King Church, 2777 Livingston Ave., Columbus, OH 43209, Fr. David Schalk,Celebrant.  Rose will return home to Pennsylvania to be laid to rest near her family. The family respectfully requests that memorials be made to Wounded Warrior's Foundation, Salvation Army, or St Mary's Restoration Project in lieu of flowers.

Eyes so blue, heart so true, rest now mom, we love you!
