Richard "Dick" Warren Conrad, age 85, of Columbus, passed away October 21, 2022, following a brief hospitalization. Dick attended West High School and proudly served in the U.S. Army and Reserves. He was a longtime member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church where he served on the vestry and as a deacon for many, many years. He retired from DLZ Corporation. Dick loved his Cleveland "Indians" and was also a loyal Buckeye fan. He was a longtime coach of girls' softball, winning several championships.
Preceded in death by his wife, Jo Ann Conrad, parents, and several brothers and sisters. Surviving family includes daughters, Carolyn (Manny) Nassar of Florida, and Janice (Joe) Taylor of Columbus; grandchildren, Ryan and Tyler Speakman, Riley Wood, Haley and Sydney Nassar; great-grandson Mitchell Conrad Speakman; sister-in-law Janet (Darryl) Betz of Galloway; nephews and nieces, David Betz, Deanna Maynard, Mary York, Richard Schey, Michael Motz, Dana Matz and other nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends, Thursday, October 27, 2022, from 3:00-7:00 p.m. at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 S. High Street, Columbus, Ohio 43207, where funeral service will be held, Friday, October 28, 2022, at 10:00 a.m., with Pastor Thomas Phillips officiating. Interment to follow at Green Lawn Cemetery.
