Michael D. Crooks

Michael D. Crooks, age 73, of Pataskala, Ohio, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2025. Known for his empathy and kindness, Mike touched the lives of many with his warm spirit and creativity. He had a passion for woodworking and enjoyed building car models, expressing himself through his artistic endeavors. Mike also delighted in decorating for Christmas and nurturing his garden, finding joy in the beauty of nature.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dolores Mahaffey and Cyril Crooks, as well as his cousins, Joe Smith and Judy Doran. Mike is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Keith and Mindy Crooks; his niece, Maria Crooks; and his nephew, Andrew Crooks. He leaves behind a wide circle of cousins, Lori (Donald) Graber, Linda Carsey, DJ (Gabrielle) Graber, Sarah (Josh) Wilt Graber, Herbie Linskey, Darrel Linskey, Marlo Gilley, Jane Ellen Hershey, Jerry Smith, Jackie Smith, Jeff Smith, Dave Eckert, Donald Eckert, Wayne Eckert, Roger Eckert, Sheryl Carter, and Lorna Ilic, and many other relatives who will remember him fondly.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, beginning at 10:30 AM until the time of the funeral service at 12 Noon at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, located at 1351 South High St., Columbus, Ohio 43207, with Chaplain Jason Matlack officiating. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Lockbourne, Ohio.
