Mary Gundy

Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Van Gundy, 95, of St. Cloud, FL passed away on Friday June 20, 2014 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born in Valley Crossing, Ohio on February 9, 1919, the daughter of the late John Franklin and Lillie Mae (Kemmerling) Hensel. She was preceded in death by her husband; Walton E. Van Gundy and sister; Ruth Miklos and brother; Paul Hensel. Mrs. Van Gundy was a member of the of the Zion Lutheran Church in Obetz, OH. and St. Andrews Lutheran Church in Homestead, FL. She also volunteered for many years at the Miami Metro Zoo. She was also a member of the Hamilton Township Fire Department Ladies Auxillary. She is survived by her loving family; daughter; Carole A. Dennis; granddaughter; Crystal L. Surber-Peck; both of St. Cloud, FL; great grandchildren; Stacey B. wife of Quint Klingbeil of Ocala, FL; Kelli R. wife of TJ Sequenzia; Christopher Peck and great great grandson; Cayden J. Sequenzia all of St. Cloud, FL. Graveside service will be held on Saturday July 5, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Obetz Cemetery, 4455 Groveport Rd., Obetz, Ohio 43207, with Reverends Robert and Carolyn Elliott officiating.
