Joseph Middendorf

Joseph D. Middendorf, aged 80, of Pickerington, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on August 20, 2025. Joe was a proud graduate of Columbus South High School, Class of 1964. Joe had a great passion for life, enjoying activities such as golfing and fishing, and he cherished the time spent with his family. He was an avid supporter of The Ohio State Buckeyes, sharing in the joy and excitement of their games.

Joe is preceded in death by his beloved son, Joseph Michael Middendorf, as well as his parents, Robert E. Sr. and Eleanor Middendorf, his brother and sister-in-law Robert and Louise Middendorf and nephews, Brian Middendorf and Robert Middendorf III.

He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Mary Middendorf, brother, Larry (Judy) Middendorf, and sister, Jacky (Maurice) Canada, children: Matt (Shelly) Middendorf, Amy Hoersdig, Lori (Kelly) Seymour, Rob (Amy) Hoersdig, and Jeff (Kelly) Hoersdig. Joe's legacy continues through his 10 grandchildren: Riley, Austin, Logan, Chris, Sarah, Nic, Emma, Sophie, Megan, and Finley, as well as his great-granddaughter, Gwen. He is also survived by cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.
