John Matson

John W. "Jack" Matson, age 84, of Columbus, died September 9, 2007 at Grant Medical Center. U.S. Army Veteran WWII served in Battle of the Bulge. Graduate of Pomeroy High School, Class of 1943; Retired from Irons Worker Local #172. Member of Church of God in Newark, Ohio. Preceded in death by parents, William and Mary Matson, sister, Maxine Matson and brother-in-law, Gail P. Buck. Survived by sisters, Jean (John) Blair of Bainbridge, Oh; Addie Buck of Pomeroy, Ohio; brother, Dr. Robert E. (Mary) Matson of VA; many nieces and nephews. Visitation Wednesday 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 S. High St., Columbus, Ohio where service will be held Thursday 2 p.m., Pastor Roger Decker officiating. Interment Obetz Cemetery.
