Gene K. Althoff, age 87, of Lancaster, passed away September 18, 2017. Graduate of Columbus South High School; Member of Fairfield County Antique Tractor Club. Preceded in death by wife, Helen Althoff; great-grandson, Christopher Garcia; son-in-law, Clarence "Chris" Christy; parents, Kermit and Irene Althoff. Survived by daughters, Jacquelyn Christy of Westerville and Carole Anderson of San Antonio, TX; 4 grandchildren, Debbie (Jeff) Judy, Gayle Christy, Cyndi Dorwart, and Pam (David) Garcia; 6 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Jerry Althoff and William (Dorothy) Althoff; nieces, nephews and other relatives. Family will receive friends Friday, September 22, ,2017 beginning at 11 a.m. with funeral service to follow at 1 p.m. at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 S. High St.. Pastor Doug Warburton officiating.
