Gary L. Uhrig Sr.

Gary L. Uhrig Sr., aged 74, of Columbus, Ohio, peacefully passed away on June 28, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Gary started his career in the pizza business while in 10th grade and later became the proud owner of Gardo’s Pizza, operating two successful locations.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Betty Uhrig; his brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Susan Uhrig; his great-niece, Lanissa; and his mother-in-law, Kathleen Caldwell.

Gary is lovingly remembered by his wife of 26 years, Jackie Uhrig. He leaves behind his children: Mary Thompson of Las Vegas; Gary Lee J (Heidi) Uhrig Jr. of Delaware, Ohio; Stephanie (Thad) Kezer of Leesburg, Virginia; Heather (Brian) Currance of Glenford, Ohio; and Roberta (Troy) Cameron of Plain City, Ohio. His legacy continues through his 17 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Darlene Teague and Brenda Ressler; sisters-in-law, Carolyn McCarty and Marilyn (Rick) Ward. He is fondly remembered by his dear friends Charles “Chuck” Hanrahan of Louisville, Kentucky, and Terri Reed of Columbus, Ohio, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Thursday, July 2, 2026, starting at 11 a.m. at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 South High St., Columbus, Ohio 43207 until time of funeral service at 1 p.m.
