Frederick "Fred" Haas Baver

Frederick "Fred" Haas Baver, age 90, of Lewis Center, Ohio passed away on June 7, 2025. Fred was a proud graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University, class of 1956. Following graduation, he pursued a successful career in the brokerage business at The Ohio Company, where he worked diligently until his retirement in 1996.

A longtime member of the Kiwanis Club, Fred dedicated himself to service and community. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan and a devoted Cincinnati Reds fan. Fred loved the water and enjoyed swimming throughout his life. In his younger days, he served as a lifeguard, a role that reflected his strong and adventurous spirit. Known for his quick wit and playful personality, Fred was often the source of practical jokes in his younger years and always had a joke ready to bring a smile to those around him.

Deeply patriotic, Fred held a lifelong love for his country and valued the principles it stands for. Fred is preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Elsie Baver. He is survived by his loving children, son Brent Baver and daughter Brenda (Gary) Baver Skidmore, as well as his cherished grandson, Kendall Baver.

Fred's life was one of laughter, dedication, and love. He will be remembered fondly by family, friends, and all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
