Floyd Leonard

Floyd "Doug" Leonard, age 77, of Columbus, went Home to be with his Lord on February 11, 2016 while surrounded by his family and friends. U.S. Navy Veteran. Longtime member of Gates-Fourth United Methodist Church. Member of South Gate-Potter Lodge No. 782 F&AM and Scottish Rite. Columbus South High School Graduate, Class of 1958. Doug was the "door man" for the elementary children at Madison Christian School for over 14 years. He was very involved in working with children in many capacities, such as Sunday school teaching, Scouting and Sea Cadets. He was an avid crafter and amateur magician and loved making people laugh.

Preceded in death by parents, Floyd and Virginia Leonard. Survived by wife of 56 years, Mary Lou (Werner) Leonard; children, Jeffrey (Geri) Leonard, Tamra Leonard, Pam (Steve) Bricker, and Shelley (Scott) Christman; grandchildren, Jackie (Harry) Neely, Jenilee (Mike) Van Leeuwen, Jessica Pappas (Stephen), Matthew Christman, Andrew Christman, Ashley Kestler, Chase Bricker, Cassidy Bricker, and Zora Bricker; great-grandchildren, Stefani, Casey, Anthony, JR, and Paige; siblings, David (Audrey) Leonard, Becky (Tom) Urton, and Sandy (Dr. Randy) Lowe; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and his devoted companion, Bubby.

Family will receive friends Sunday, Feb. 14, 2016 from 1-5 p.m. at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 S. High Street. Service Monday 11 a.m. (visitation 1 hour prior to service) at Gates-Fourth United Methodist Church, 1234 S. Fourth St., Columbus, OH 43206, Pastor Grayson Atha and Pastor Randy Lowe Sr officiating.
