Elaine Merifield

Elaine M. Merifield, born February 15, 1925 in Humphrey, Nebraska, passed away on March 28, 2016 in Columbus, Ohio. She moved to Columbus as a young lady and shortly after met the love of her life, Delmar. They married in 1944. They made their home in south Columbus and were married for 63 years, when Delmar passed away. Elaine was a member of The Living Word Church as was her husband.

In addition to Delmar, she is preceded in death by son, Robert "Bob" Merifield; parents, Joseph and Ver Michaels; 1 brother; 2 sisters, and 1 half sister. Survived by daughter, Virginia (Ron) McMannis; 2 grandchildren, Erin Stringfield and David Slonaker; several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. Special nephew and caregivers, John and Mary Johnson; special niece, June Pierce; several great-grandchildren.

Family will receive friends Wednesday, March 30, 2016 from 3-7 p.m. at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 S. High St., where service will be held Thursday 10:30 a.m., Rev. John Brainard officiating.
