Doris Watts Sparks, of Columbus, entered Eternal Rest on January 12, 2015. She was born in Gallipolis, Ohio to Erma and George Watts on August 5, 1928. Member of Glenwood United Methodist Church for 62 years. Retired from Huntington National Bank. Survived by beloved husband and best friend Edwin "Ed" Sparks. Doris and Ed celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary this past September 11, 2014. Doris and Ed enjoyed spending most summers at the Outer Banks. Doris accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior and was saved and born again in 2011. Through all her years of pain and suffering she never complained. Doris loved and was loved by everyone. She showed us unconditional love, forgiveness and was kind and patient. Dearly beloved by her children, Darrell Sparks, Ed (Mickey) Sparks, and Kim (Chad) Waltz; 3 grandchildren, Devon Sparks (Matt Mainardi), Zak White (Rachel Lerma), and Cody White; brother, Larry George (Joann) Watts; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Family will receive friends Thursday, Jan. 15, 2015 from 1 to 4 p.m. at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 S. High Street. Funeral Service Friday at 1 p.m. at Glenwood United Methodist Church, 2833 Valleyview Drive, Columbus OH 43228, Pastor Jeff Mullinix officiating. Interment to follow at Sunset Cemetery in Galloway.
