Donna Joiner

Donna Marie Joiner passed away with dignity in the comfort of her home of over 60 years surrounded by loved ones on Friday, July 3, 2026. 

She was born on December 1, 1938, to her late parents, Verlin and Edna Hershberger in Indianapolis, Indiana. They moved to Columbus, Ohio where she graduated from Columbus South High School and met the love of her life, Earl V. Joiner, and raised her 3 children. 

Donna will be remembered as the world’s greatest Buckeye, Bengals, and Cavs fan, an avid boater who loved Lake Erie and who’s specialty was skiing on one leg, a phenomenal dancer, a stylish dresser, and animal lover who did it all while being effortlessly elegant. 

She was preceded in death by her jitterbug partner Earl V. Joiner, her beloved daughter, Diana Blankenship, her sweet grandson, Aaron Harper, and her wonderful parents. 

Donna is survived by her two sons, Dale (Delona) Joiner and Scott Joiner; grandchildren, Jason Harper, April (Greg) Merda, Ashley (Cory) Herman, Heather Treadway, Summer Joiner, Tiffany Joiner, and Angel Joiner; great-grandchildren, Kayden, Kollyns, Case, Logan, Taran, Maisyn, Grayson, and Elaina; brother Mark Hershberger, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, July 9, 2026, beginning at 12 noon until time of funeral service at 2 p.m. at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 S. High Street, Columbus, Ohio 43207 with Pastor Scott Stem officiating. Entombment to follow at Franklin Hills Memory Gardens, Canal Winchester, Ohio.
