Donald VanLangen Jr., born on October 11, 1963, in Columbus, Ohio, passed away on December 17, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter. A proud graduate of Columbus South High School, Donald was known for his infectious smile and a personality that radiated warmth and joy. He embraced life with a hard-headed tenacity, always eager to engage in fun and cherished experiences.
Donald’s commitment to his country was evident during his service as a veteran in the Army, where he served overseas in Germany and Egypt. This experience shaped him into the dedicated and resilient person he became.
Donald was an avid football enthusiast, particularly passionate about the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Buffalo Bills. His love for youth sports extended beyond just watching; he actively coached young athletes, sharing his passion and knowledge with the next generation. Music held a special place in his heart, and he loved attending concerts, creating memories filled with rhythm and cheer.
He is preceded in death by his son, Devan VanLangen; his parents, Donald and Linda VanLangen; and his brother, Richard VanLangen. A devoted family man, Donald is survived by his lifetime partner, Tammy Evans; his children, Donald (Amber) VanLangen, Cody VanLangen, Courtney VanLangen, Ashton (Tamren Meade) Evans, Andrew (Madison Thurman) Evans, and Dalton Smith; and his beloved grandchildren, Donald VanLangen IV, David VanLangen, Lilah VanLangen, Cheyanne VanLangen, Grayson VanLangen, Kensley VanLangen, Harper Evans, Keely Evans, and Octavia Evans. He is also survived by his sister, Gloria (Ershel) Wheeler; and numerous cousins, including Bobby (Shannon) Anthony, who was like a brother to him, along with David (Paula) Hubbard, Angie Hubbard, Todd (Shannon) Hubbard, Amee (John) Harbin, Summer Anthony, and many cherished nieces and nephews. Further, he leaves behind special friends, Kaylee Schleppi, Billy Wilburn, and their son, “Little” Billy.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, December 20, 2025, beginning at 1:30 pm until time of service at 3:00 pm at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 South High Street, Columbus, OH. 43207 with Pastor Timothy Lee officiating. Donald will be remembered for his enduring spirit, generous heart, and the joy he brought to those around him. He will be deeply missed, yet his memories will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends.
