Claude N. Cogdill, age 83, of Columbus, passed away March 13, 2015 at Grant Medical Center surrounded by family. U.S. Army Veteran, Korean War. Retired from Techneglas. Preceded in death by wife of 46 years, Joann Cogdill; great-grandson, Donald Lee Higginbotham; parents, Berry Z. and Ora Cogdill; sister, Patricia McDanial and son-in-law, Donald Higginbotham. Survived by daughter, Brenda Toy of Columbus; grandchildren, Philip Higginbotham (Melissa Elizondo), Denice Leann (Cary) Coffey, and Melinda Toy (John Chesser); great-grandchildren, Tyler Coffey, Chad Toy, Claudia Toy, and Kalyan Shelby; siblings, Berchil (Ocie) Cogdill, Harry (Diana) Cogdill, Charles (Mary) Cogdill, Jerry (Wilma) Cogdill, Billy Joe (Ethel) Cogdill, Ava (Virgil) Fields, and Shirley Ellis; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Visitation Monday, March 16, 2015 from 5-8 p.m. at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 S. High St., where service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m, Pastor Chris Pierce officiating.
