Charles Murray

December 16, 1935 — February 14, 2017

Charles (Chuck) Murray, age 81 of Lewis Center, OH & previously of Denver, CO passed away Feb. 14, 2017. He was born in Colby, KS Dec. 16, 1935 to the late Cecil and Florence Murray. Chuck is survived by his wife Carole, daughter Melissa (Rich) Kruse and granddaughter Savannah, brother-in-laws John Sarconi and Tony Sarconi (Gerry) as well as numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.

Chuck graduated from Benson High in Omaha NE in 1953 and attended the University of Colorado where he was a member of Delta Upsilon. After graduating in 1959 he joined the Navy. He then returned to Boulder to attend law school, graduating in 1964. After finishing law school, Chuck and Carole toured Europe for 6 months before he returned to clerk for Supreme Court Justice Robert McWilliam. He then joined the Denver District Attorney's office and served as the chief trial deputy under Dale Tooley before entering private practice.

Chuck was an active member of the Lion's Club for many years, helping with tutoring, 9 Health Fair, Savio House, and the Lion's Mane.

He was an avid Bronco fan, bridge and cribbage player, bowler and loved traveling. He loved people and maintained many friendships from as far back as his grade school days.

Two separate services are planned.

A Memorial Service will be held in Columbus, Ohio, on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 2 p.m. at CenterPoint Church, 7750 Green Meadows Dr. N, Unit B, Lewis Center, OH 43035.

A Celebration of Life event will take place in Denver, Colorado, on April 8, 2017 at 1 pm at the Wellshire Event Center, 3333 S. Colorado Blvd, Denver, CO, 80222.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or a charity of choice.
