Brody M. Mellon, age 3, passed away on July 4, 2025. He was born on April 7, 2022, in Goodyear, Arizona. In his short time here, he brought immeasurable joy and light to all who knew him.
Brody was known for his radiant smile—one so bright it lit up his mommy’s heart. With a kind and caring soul well beyond his years, Brody often asked, “Are you okay?” and told his mommy how much he loved her. Her response was always the same: “I love you more, Bro baby.”
He had a heart full of love for his family. His bond with his oldest sister, Koda, was especially dear—Brody loved being carried on her hip, and when he wasn’t there, he was often found playfully exploring her makeup. His energy filled the house as he ran happily up and down the hallway, always moving, always smiling.
When it was time to settle down, Brody enjoyed watching Ryan’s World and Bluey Stories, two of his favorite shows. But nothing lit up his imagination quite like dinosaurs. His favorite was the T-Rex, and his passion for prehistoric creatures was unmatched—he could name them all with confidence and excitement.
Bright, curious, and full of life, Brody had already learned to count and knew the letters of the alphabet. He was remarkably smart for his age, with a joyful spirit that made every moment brighter for those around him.
Brody will be forever remembered for his laughter, his love, and his incredible ability to bring light into any situation. Though his time here was short, the impact he made was profound. He will always be his family’s little sunshine.
Brody is survived by his mother, Dessie McCormick and Tristen Moricette who was a father figure; his father, Anthony Mellon; sisters, Dakoda “Koda,” Layla and Paris along with his brother, AJ; Grandma Charlene (Terry) Clark, Grandma, Sherrie Yarbrough and Mema and Grandpa Flores: his Aunt Jeannie (Katz) Philjene and his Uncle Andre Flowers. A private family service was held.
