Anthony “Tony” Stinnett, age 65, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on June 7, 2024, with family at his side. He was born on August 16, 1958, to Mackon Jr. and Dottie Stinnett in Columbus, Ohio.
Tony touched the hearts of many by offering his various employment skills, such as auto repair. He earned respect from those who sought his help as he was willing to lend a hand. In his spare time, Tony could be found on the waters as he enjoyed various boats with a fishing rod in hand, enjoying the peaceful tranquility of each catch and spending time with family and friends. Tony enjoyed preparing meals and managing the home while others worked as he was retired.
Tony was baptized by immersion at Parsons Baptist Church and was a former Obetz Christian Church member.
He is preceded in death by Mackon Jr. and Dottie Stinnett; grandparents Charles (Beatrice) Stinnett and Raymond (Mollie) Christman; cousin, Lawrence Christman, and several aunts and uncles.
Tony is survived by his devoted wife, Mary L. Stinnett, of 30 years; sons, Brad Stinnett and Matthew Stinnett; children of previous marriage, Mark (Lisa) Stinnett and daughter, Erica (Daniel) Loughry and six grandchildren; brother, David (Melissa) Stinnett; sister, Janet Atkins (Chuck Siders); niece, Angie (David) Hirst and families; many cousins, good neighbors and friends.
In this time of loss, we remember Tony fondly. He will be missed and not forgotten. The family will receive friends at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 S. High St., Columbus, Ohio 43207, on Friday, June 14, 2024; visitation begins at 11:30 a.m. The funeral service starts at 1:30 p.m. The Rev. Jeffrey Julien, Lay Ministers Wayne Eaton, and Ms. Melissa Stinnett will officiate. Interment will follow at Obetz Cemetery, 4455 Groveport Rd, Obetz, Ohio 43207.
