Alex Hessler

Alex A. Hessler, age 86, of Columbus, passed away November 4, 2016 at home. Master Sergeant in the US Air Force (aircraft mechanic) retired after 28 years of service; Member of St. Ladislas Church. Benefactor of the Parish of St. Michael the Archangel, Ostrowsko, Poland, where his mother and grandparents attended.

Preceded in death by son, James "Jim" Hessler; parents, Alex and Victoria Zeglin Hessler; siblings, Stanley Hessler, Walter Hessler, and Sister Jane Frances Hessler.

Survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Irene; children, Steve (Lin) Hessler, Susan Hessler (Doug Burdick), Julie Hessler, and Mike Hessler; grandchildren, Alex, Rocky, Sara, Noah, Calee, Coleman, Finlay, Olivia, Ethan, and Elliott; 2 great-grandchildren, Jason and Riley; sister, Anne Puch; cousin Stephania Szumal, many loving nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Private family services.
