Barbara Rauch

Barbara A. Rauch, age 75, of Upper Arlington, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family. Barb graduated from Watterson High School and attended Franklin and Ohio State universities. She managed the cafeterias and other food service at Riverside Hospital, ran the Sawmill Women’s Wellness center, and assisted with several family businesses. Barb met her husband Russ when she was in the eighth grade and knew from the start that he would be her future husband. They would be celebrating 55 years of marriage this month. Barb loved her family and always made everyone feel welcomed. She will be remembered for her warm hugs, her amazing cooking and “no one leaves hungry” get togethers. She had an infectious laugh that could be heard from miles away. Barb will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.

Preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Ann (Hunsinger) Shirk. Survived by her husband of 54 years, Russell Rauch; daughters Casey Rauch and Jody (Albert) Ihochi; grandchildren Amaya and Edison Ihochi. brothers Paul (Ruth) Shirk and Phil (Stephanie) Shirk, sister Elizabeth (Jim) Mahoney; numerous brothers-in-law and sisters in-law, cousins, nieces, and nephews

A Celebration of Life will be held

Friday, May 6, 2022, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
