Obituary

Suzanne Francis (Puskarich) Sobolewski, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great‑grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on August 27, 2026, just days after celebrating her 87th birthday. Our hearts are heavy as we share the loss of a woman whose presence was a gift to everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Suzanne lived a life defined by selflessness, compassion, and an unwavering dedication to others. She was often described as “a gale‑force wind of energy and kindness that left everyone strengthened.” Her love for her family, friends, and community was boundless. Her spirit was lively, generous, and endlessly warm.

She was a talented baker, cook, and gardener, and she carried a sharp, joyful sense of humor that could brighten any room. Suzanne loved music of every kind and never missed a chance to dance. And she never missed an opportunity to play a rowdy card game with the family. (IYKYK).

When the gardening season came to an end, Suzanne turned her attention to cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes and proudly standing by her beloved Cleveland Cavaliers.

For more than 40 years, Suzanne ran a successful business, becoming not just a trusted professional but a cherished part of many customers’ families. Her work was an extension of her heart — always giving, always connecting.

Suzanne is survived by her husband of 65 years, Frank M. Sobolewski, and their children:

  • Vicki (Sobolewski) Dutt and her husband Sean (Mike) Dutt, and their children:
    •        Stasha
    •        Sergey

  • Catherine (Sobolewski) Osborne

  • Matthew Sobolewski and his wife Debbie Sobolewski, and their children:
    •        Weston along and his wife Samantha and their children Scarlett and Violet
    •        Bethany

  • Tony Sobolewski and his wife Penny Sobolewski, and their children:
    •        Abby (Sobolewski) Schrader, married to Gus, and their daughters Via and Rue
    •        Josey Sobolewski and her fiancé Chris Martin

Suzanne’s legacy continues through her grandchildren and great‑grandchildren, all of whom carry forward her love, humor, and strength.
