Frederick (Fred) Howard Kleinline, 89, passed away Thursday August 6, 2026. He was born on March 24, 1937, in Columbus, Ohio to the late Forrest and Ruth Kleinline.

Fred graduated from Groveport-Madison High School, in the Class of 1956. His favorite story to tell was that he graduated in 1956 with 56 classmates and only attended 56 days his senior year. He stayed home "working on the farm" but his family did not own a farm.

After graduation he began working in the construction business for about 25 years and then started his own business (Kleinline Acoustics) in 1983 until retiring in 1997. He was very well respected in the industry. After retiring he worked part time at a golf course in Florida until he was 80 years old.

His pride and joy was his Chrysler PT Cruiser. He enjoyed woodworking and making things out of old wood pallets and wine corks.

Fred lived in Obetz, Ohio on Kleinline Lane until 1997 and then moved to Naples, Florida until 2025 when he moved to Georgetown Kentucky to be closer to his son, daughter in-law, and granddaughter and her family.

Fred is preceded in death by his parents, Forrest and Ruth (Smyers) Kleinline, brother Billy Kleinline, son Jeffrey Michael Kleinline, daughter Kimberly Renee Kleinline, and sister-in-law Della (McClure) Kleinline.

He is survived by his wife of almost 70 years, Dottie (Fannin) Kleinline, Brother Ronald (Jake) Kleinline, sister Linda Kleinline, son Bruce Kleinline and his wife Lisa (Weber) Kleinline, grand-daughter Megan (Kleinline) George and Michael George, grand-son Kyle Kleinline and Brooke (Schreffler) Kleinline, great grandchildren, Teddy George, Benny George and Lucy May Kleinline, brothers-in-law Mike (Pat) Fannin and Gary (Kim) Fannin as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 17, 2026, beginning at 12 noon until time of funeral service at 2 pm at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 South High Street, Columbus, Ohio 43207, with Pastor Timothy Lee officiating. Interment to follow at Obetz Cemetery, Obetz, Ohio.
