Obituary

Evanna L. Thompson, of Obetz, Ohio, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2026, at the age of 70.

Born on December 10, 1955, Evanna grew up surrounded by the warmth and love of her family. She was the daughter of Herman Blankenship and Bonnie Blankenship, both of whom preceded her in death. Evanna is also reunited in rest with her sister, Angel Berridge, and her brother, Willis Lee Blankenship.

Evanna’s life was shaped by a deep and abiding love for her family. Her free spirit and zest for life were known to everyone who had the privilege of spending time with her. She delighted in simple pleasures and was especially passionate about movies—a pastime that brought her countless hours of joy and relaxation.

Those who were closest to Evanna remember her as a devoted wife to James Thompson, and a caring and supported mother to her children: Brad (Theresa) Thompson, Kizmache Hope Reshan, and Brittany (Jesse) Lewis. She took great pride and found immense happiness in her role as grandmother to Tim, Arianna, Arron, Kristen, Erica, Steven, Derrick, Skylynn, Ashton, Izabella, Elizabeth, and Lorretta, as well as many great-grandchildren who brought light and laughter into her life.

The bond of family meant everything to Evanna. She is survived by her brother, Gary Blankenship, and is lovingly remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Her caring nature extended beyond her immediate family, touching the lives of many friends and relatives who will deeply miss her warmth, wit, and open-heartedness.
