Barbara West Hipes, age 91, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2026, following a battle with cancer.

Barbara retired from the Columbus Metropolitan library, traveled the world, found great joy rooting for the Buckeyes and Bengals, cherished time spent with her granddaughters and was treasured by family and friends.

She is reunited in heaven with the love of her life, William T. "Bill" Hipes, who passed July 12, 1999. She is survived by son Steven (Kathleen), daughter Karen Hipes Adkins (the late Alan Adkins), granddaughters Aimee Adkins and Lauren Hipes, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Services will be held on Monday, September 14, 2026, with calling hours beginning at 11:00 am to 12:45 pm, funeral at 1:00 pm at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 South High Street, Columbus, Ohio 43207. Burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Garden, Columbus.
